The results will be announced on Saturday afternoon, November 2, 2024 during the weekend of Jong Cultuur Eindhoven.

During the exhibition With One Eye Open at Pennings Foundation, we are organizing a photo competition from September 7 to October 27, 2024.

About the exhibition:

Graffiti is an underground culture that takes place in public spaces. Often unwanted and illegal, many of the 'pieces' are quickly cleaned up. That is why photographing graffiti is essential, given the temporary, fleeting and often illegal nature of this art form.

We challenge you to take a picture of a temporary action on the streets of Eindhoven.

Something ordinary can easily become a work of art! What boundaries do you dare to explore?

All entries will be shown digitally on a screen in the exhibition space. The 8 most special photos will be printed and are on show until the end of the exhibition (until November 16, 2024). The winners can pick up their prints afterwards.

How can you participate?

• Send your photo before October 27 to: educatie@penningsfoundation.com. Include your name, age, and where and when the photo was taken.

• Due to the large number of entries, the winners will be announced via our social media channels and website at the end of October. So keep an eye on these! If we share your photo, your name will be mentioned.

• Do you not want to send a photo but do you want to participate in the professional jury that makes the selection? That is also possible. Send your motivation to: educatie@penningsfoundation.com. We will select the best photos together with Jasper van Es, the curator of ‘With One Eye Open’.

Conditions:

The photo must be taken by you personally in Eindhoven. You may submit one photo per person. We pay attention to originality, temporality and composition.
