Forty-eight members of the Bondsmeesterklasse of the Fotobond for amateur photographers will present a selection of their photographic works at Pennings Foundation from 14 December 2024 to 11 January 2025. The BMK is celebrating its 65th anniversary and 13th lustrum this year with the publication of the book ‘BMK: Volop in Beweging’ and the exhibition ‘I Talk in Pictures’. The selection of over one hundred and twenty images was compiled by Roel Visser, professional photographer. 

Roel Visser: “A beautiful and diverse palette of striking reports, beautiful landscapes and artistic imaginations. What stood out was the attention and often also the uniqueness that speaks from the selection. Especially in a time when we are flooded with images.” 

The Bondsmeesterklasse is a national working group within the Fotobond, Dutch Centre for Free Photography. The members of the group are selected by a professional jury of professionals. www.fotobond.nl 

Roel Visser became known as a photographer with his photos in which a sharp critique of aspects of the welfare state comes to the fore. Roel has eight photo books to his name, of which ‘Hier in Holland’ is the highlight. He worked for Nieuwe Revu, HP/de Tijd, Het parool and NRC Handelsblad, among others. www.roelvisser.nl
